Day 5 - ENG

We pretended to be the upper class today. We met Gwennie at Harrod's and then headed to Kensington Palace and walked through the gardens there. Met my first chipmunk.

Sarah's camera shy

Afterwards we returned to Harrod's and had some high tea. Who knows what others thought me sitting there wearing a Holden shirt while sipping tea!

A classy kinda bogan!

Mim and Julia found us for dinner and then we were off to see 'Woman in White'. Seems they are trying to use some 21st century technology with these performances. The backdrop was done by projection so easily changed depending on the set. Quite effective actually.

Day 4 - ENG

Bussed it back into town today. I think this is something I'm going to have to get used to. I think we even jumped on this bus while it was leaving the bus stop!

We started doing the touristy things today like checking out the sights, watching the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace and walking through Westminster Abby. Afterwards we had lunch in Trafalgar Square and then the other side of the Thames was beckoning so we walked around near the London Eye.

How cute, they look just like Lego men!

In this photo there's something tall and old. There's a clock too

One of the things Sarah wanted to do was see a few shows. Tonight was the first so we found Mim and headed off to 'We Will Rock You'. I have never been a fan of Queen and this show didn't change anything. Sure, it was good and up beat but I was pretty tired and I think I drifted off much to Sarah's dismay.

Day 3 - ENG

We rose and ate breaky and headed the bus stop. It's a really classy suburb. We found a bike frame chained to a post. There was nothing left on it... wheels, ancillaries and stuff... all gone!

Now, I'm a train kinda guy and my only bus experiences were school excursions and tours so this was quite new to me. An hour later and we were walking around the streets around Piccadilly Circus. One thing I'll never forget is walking into Trafalgur Square for the first time and hearing a lot of chearing. At first I thought the Brits were happy to see me but then realised the England cricket team were there on open top red busses celebrating their Ashes win. We quickly made ourselves scarce!

Hunger had set in and a cheap Tesco (think Woolies) lunch was in order and then we jumped on a Red Bus Tour with Gwennie. It was good fun and checked out Oxford Street a little before meeting Mim for dinner in an Indian joint back out near our awesome neighbourhood.

Should have warned Gwennie about the vagrants around the place

I'm sure to some girls this is a bargain
and to others it's overpriced!
